Seek out women mentors and join organizations that uplift, support, and advocate for the furtherance of women’s rights in every aspect of life.
What does your community involvement look like?
I volunteer with multiple voluntary bar associations. I am the former President of the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association and the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association (GSCBWLA); Co-Founder of the Leadership Academy, a joint partnership between MDFAWL and GSCBWLA; an MDFAWL Foundation Board Member; and Vice-Chair of the Miami-Dade Bar’s Government Law Committee.
When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you use it?
Hang out with my dog Amidala, play video games, and watch Miami sports!
