Where do you work?

U.S. Century Bank

What type of legal work do you do?

As the Corporate and Regulatory Counsel, and the board-appointed Privacy Officer, I practice in a variety of legal areas including corporate law, regulatory compliance, contract law, oversight of external litigation, legal research and analysis, and corporate governance.

What was your most rewarding professional achievement?

To me, growth feels very rewarding, so I feel most rewarded as I find myself developing a deeper understanding of legal and regulatory issues in my field. I was also recently appointed as Chair of the Professional and Career Development Committee of the South Florida Women’s In-House Counsel Group, and I am excited for this new role.

What advice do you have for women in the legal profession?

Many of us have been taught not to take space or have a voice. I myself have struggled with this. My advice is to constantly push yourself to unlearn this programming and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Discomfort does not necessarily mean something is wrong. Sometimes, it is just a sign of growth.
